Legal

You may legally purchase and possess body armor without a permit if you hold a valid firearms license issued under the Firearms Act in Canada.

In Ontario, Nova Scotia and Quebec, possession of body armor is 100% legal and there are no regulations restricting and purchase or possession of body armor of any type.

Please consult the local laws and regulations of each Canadian province to determine the legality of purchasing and possessing body armor. We only sell body armor within Canada and cannot ship overseas at this time. We will outline the basic rules here, however, we recommend you take the time to thoroughly research the laws applicable to you and assert you are responsible to ensure you abide by them. That being said, we also hold the personal view that all humans have the unalienable right to self defense and as such the right to purchase and possess body armor for the purposes of their survival. In that light, we suggest if legislation in your province is restrictive, you contact your local MLA and MP, and lobby for these restrictions to be lifted, such that your unalienable rights remain uninfringed.

Nunavut and North-West Territories, New BrunswickNewfoundland and Labrador:

A special license is required to purchase and posses a body armor within these provinces and territories.

Regulations differ greatly from province to province. As such, Silver Lining Defense Corp highly suggests, before making a purchase of any type of body armor, to research and confirm local laws and regulations with authorities. We assume the purchaser has made every duty to ensure they are legally entitled to purchase and possess the products they acquire with us.

You will be asked for scans/uploads of both your valid Permit (if required), a valid Driver’s License, and valid PAL before sale of armor products can be completed. Again, it is the responsibility of the purchaser to follow the laws and regulations of the province or territory in which they reside. We believe that all humans have the right to possess and acquire armor. That being said, we do not condone breaking the law in any way. Please ensure you are following the laws and regulations of the province in which you live. If you are restricted from owning armor, please write your local MLA and MP and thoroughly communicate your dissatisfaction and formally file a complaint with their offices. Together, we can expand the legal ownership of passive defensive products and use them responsibly for the safety of ourselves, our families, and our loved ones.
